Hotel Montefiore
This boutique hotel is placed in a building dating back to the 1920’s giving guests a European feel when they come to visit. What once was built as a residential house and know as a hybrid Bauhaus-Ottoman style’ now exists as a Bauhaus along with local oriental architecture - an approach adapted by Alexander Baerweld in which he expanded the scope of his design beyond decorative elements into the building materials and the interior planning, collecting concepts from local Arab buildings as well as ancient eastern architecture.
